UITP MENA Transport Congress & Exhibition 2018
«Pioneering for Customer Happiness»

Dubai, United Arab Emirates  |   23 - 25 April 2018   |   Stand 5D42

Customers are at the heart of successful public transport systems. How does public transport and shared mobility respond to changing customer behaviour?

Under this year's theme «Pioneering for Customer Happiness», the MENA Congress & Exhibition will discuss expectations, digitalisation, emergence of new technologies and services, heightened environmental awareness, pressures on urban infrastructure and continued budget constraints.

This is an exciting time for public transport in the MENA region, with a very impressive range of public transport projects underway. Organised by UITP and Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), this edition will be an ideal opportunity for you to get insights on the latest developments in the region and make new contacts, and nurture existing business links. As one of the world’s fastest growing cities, Dubai is an exceptional setting for this event, a global hub for trade, commerce, and innovation.

Demo track for the autonomous shuttle «Trapizio»

For the first time, a self-driving bus will transport IT-TRANS visitors from the main entrance of the exhibition center to the exhibition hall and continue on a short demonstration track in the exhibition center. The electric vehicle called «Trapizio» is provided by AMoTech, a 100% subsidiary of Trapeze Switzerland (www.amotech.ch)

The “Mobility Lab” of AMoTech in Neuhausen at the Rheinfall (Switzerland) focuses fully on autonomous mobility and develops services and solutions for this purpose. Join us and learn more about the „Route 12“ project and the future plans of Trapeze and AMoTech for the autonomous mobility.

ComfoAccess® Showcase with partner company highQ

A Be-in/Be-out solution from Trapeze based on chipcards has been around for some time, and has now been extended with an additional component: ComfoAccess® Smartphone relies on a mobile app that allows passengers to check in when they get in the vehicle – the exit is then automatically recognized by the system (check-in/be-out).

At the Trapeze stand, we take you on a virtual journey together with our partner highQ. Check in at Trapeze and take a virtual ride – you will then receive information about the invoice for the trip on the neighboring stand at highQ.
